I have been trying to for the longest time to try and create an application that can play Audible.com audiobooks and provide the username/password to play the protected content. But recently I have been re-reading the documentation and it sounds like you can only play DRM protected files that have had the DRM added through Adobe Access.
Is that correct? Is Flash Player and AIR only capable of playing DRM media created and handled through Adobe Access? If that is the case, why wouldnt Adobe fix this? I am a hardcore ActionScript and Flash/AIR advocate and if Adobe cant provide a simple means of playing DRM protected content besides ones they make you go through their services for, people would turn to other solutions.
