Good Day to all of you here!
First of all, I want all of you to know that I already did a lot of research about viewing ip-camera feed to a Flex Air/Flash Application and I always see the option of using Flash Media Server to be able to stream the Live feed from the camera and display it to my flex app, but sadly, I am told not to use that implementation. Also, I dont know how to implement it using FMS and FMLE since I am told not to futher research about it(yet).
Here's the thing, I had an idea of using Sockets, and I am not sure if it is capable. I want to know if it is possible to use this technique to be able to capture the feed from the ip-camera and then display it to an flash/air application. By the way, the camera is on the same local network with my pc where the application must run and it is a Panasonic IP-camera. Maybe someone out there has an idea and had already done this without using FMLE and FMS, please share it. It would be really great.
And if ever using sockets really cant do this, It would be a lot better if someone could provide documentation or links that explains it. Thank you very much to all of you. Sorry for the long post.
